Andrew Dunkley is a high performance, results driven professional with an 8-year track record of proven success. His experience includes business strategy creation and implementation, development of IT Systems and Infrastructural Frameworks, Business Analytics and Insurance Risk Profiling.

He first began his professional career as a Risk & Reinsurance Associate with GK Insurance then known as JIIC- Jamaica International Insurance Company. He was given the opportunity to do risk and product analysis resulting in the development of the company’s underwriting budget. His acumen and ability for numbers and risk management eventually led him to becoming an Accelerated Development Programme Candidate for the GraceKennedy Group. The Accelerated Development Programme is a programme created by GraceKennedy to develop young talent who they foresee as leaders in the Group. As part of the Accelerated Development Programme, Andrew was exposed to the operations at Allied Insurance Brokers, First Global Bank, Grace Foods and GraceKennedy Group Risk Department where he was a Project Officer for each of the entities involved.

Upon completion of the Accelerated Development Programme Andrew returned to GK Insurance as both an Information Technology and Business Analyst and then an Insurance Risk Analyst before becoming a Senior Insurance Risk Analyst. His day-to-day roles included conducting risk assessments of poor performing products and accounts, developing strategies to enter new markets both locally and regionally, and budgeting and forecasting for the Personal Lines Portfolio. He also managed the insurance rating and pricing structure for products and monitored operational risks.

In 2019, Andrew became the Head of Digital Transformation at GK Insurance where he developed digital strategies for the business, oversaw all digital projects and assessed the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify new opportunities for the business and product differentiation.

As a result of GraceKennedy’s acquisition, Andrew was appointed Operations Manager for Key Insurance Company Limited in April 2020. Utilizing his experience garnered in the Insurance industry, Andrew manages the Motor Underwriting, Insurance Risk, Registry, Customer Care, Information Technology and Facilities teams within the Company.

Andrew has a B.Sc. In Banking and Finance from the University of Technology, and completed his MBA from the Edinburgh Business School at the Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. He enjoys playing and watching football and keeping abreast of current affairs both locally and internationally.
